Yvonne M. Herron

Yvonne Manis Herron, age 67, passed away after a long and courageous battle with chronic pain and type one diabetes on March 6, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Manis; Mother, Margaret Lewis; and her brother Don Manis.  She is survived by her husband, John Herron; daughter, Amy Herron; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Jo Manis, Darrel and Rhonda Manis, and Jody Manis.  She enjoyed a varied career as an educator, teaching at Highland Hills Christian School; nursing; and visiting for the HABIT program. She was known for her love of walking on the Greenbelt, her neighborhood, Maryville College Woods or anywhere else she could find to walk.   She enjoyed visiting the Smokies/Cades Cove frequently, photographing and viewing the wildlife.  There will be a receiving of friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Smith Trinity Chapel.   Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at Pine Grove Cemetery in Greenback, TN at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 13, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the HABIT program (2407 River Dr., Knoxville, TN 37996) or the American Diabetes Association (P.O.
