Woodrow (Dock) Raines, age 93 born February 3, 1913, passed away at home Friday, June 30, 2006 at 10:00 AM. He was retired from ALCOA after 38 years of service and also a retired farmer. He was a member of Cold Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Daughter, Evelyn Faye Raines; Parents, Gilbert and Martha Raines; Brothers, Jim, Jesse, Allen, Ike and Arthur; Sisters, Rebecca Clark, Maude Moore, Sally Warrick, Nancy Raines, Anna Hancox, Nora Ansley. Survivors include: Wife of 68 years, Ruth Henry Raines; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Fern & Wiley Flynn, Barbara Arwood, Donna & Roy Reagan; Nine Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren; 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a whole host of friends. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Monday, July 3, 2006 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Jeff Hickman, Rev. Jessie Alston, and Rev. Clarence Evans officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: American Cancer Society, Jill Rollins, Memorial Chair, 2330 Chesterfield Drive, Maryville, TN 37803. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday, July 3, 2006, Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
