Willie Dean Russell

Willie “Dean” Russell, age 90, of Walland, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on November 25, 2025. Born and raised in the mountains she loved, Willie Dean built a life centered on faith, family, and the beauty of her home place. She devoted many years of service to Blount Memorial Hospital, where her strong work ethic, sense of humor, and commitment to excellence touched countless lives. A dedicated member of West Millers Cove Missionary Baptist Church, she lived her faith through commitment, strength, and a deep love for her community. Dean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Max Russell, and her son, Ikey Russell. She is survived by her son, Perry Russell; and her cherished grandchildren: Matthew Russell, Leanne Sneed, Kelly Russell Myers, Summer Russell, Lindy Hall, and Cody Russell; along with a growing legacy of great-grandchildren who brought her endless pride and joy. Dean found her greatest happiness in her family gathered around her, the flowers she tended with care, and her homeplace that held a lifetime of stories. Strong, sometimes stubborn, and always entertaining, she left an unforgettable impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laughter, resilience, and love will live on through the many hearts she touched. Her family celebrates the blessing of her long, full life and the memories she leaves behind. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 3:00 PM, Monday, December 1, 2025 at West Millers Cove Cemetery.
