William Timothy Wood, Sr., age 76 of Maryville, TN passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at home. He retired from Y-12. Tim played football at Alcoa High School (#74) and was a proud graduate in the class of 1967. He continued to be a huge fan of Alcoa football throughout his life. Tim also loved classic Chevrolet Cars. He was a life guard at Merryvilla Swimming Pool and enjoyed racing slot cars. Tim is survived by his wife, Denise Mae Brown Wood; son, William Timothy Wood, Jr; daughter, Jennifer Mae Wood-Ogunyombo; grandsons whom he loved unconditionally, Olamide Walton Azariah Ogunyombo and Timothy Mykell Crosby; brothers, Jack Wood (Carol), Dicky Wood (Becky); sister, Barbara Garner (Johnny).
