William J.S. Walker passed away Monday, June 15, 2026 at his cattle farm in Alcorn County, MS, at the age of 85. He was born in Townsend, TN on December 17, 1940, the first born of John & Mabel Walker. He worked for TRW at Forks of the River Industrial Park in Knoxville for nearly 30 years. When this company moved to Mexico in 1990, he finished his working career in building maintenance for Blount County. He was a faithful member of Tuckaleechee Primitive Baptist Church in Townsend. For fun, he enjoyed riding his Honda Gold-Wing throughout the area and was an avid golfer with membership at Williams Creek Golf Course.

J.S. was preceded in death by: parents, John & Mabel Tipton Walker; younger brother, James Michael Walker; special cousin, Winton Jackson. He is survived by: loving wife, Ann; daughter, Susan; beloved granddaughters, Rachel (Cole) Ryg & Jessica (Derrick) Payne; the apple of his eye and his best buddy was his great-grandson, Dexter Ryg.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Monday, June 22, 2026 at Smith Chapel. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Brother JB Huskey officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Tuckaleechee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
