It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of

Wanda Ann Stephens 83, of Maryville. Wanda passed away peacefully at the family home on June 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Wanda was a faithful Christian belonging to Middlesettlements Methodist Church and previously Smoky View Baptist Church, where she loved singing in the choir. She graduated from Everett High School and Draughons Business College. Wanda worked as a bookkeeper, volunteered as band mom, swim mom, Girl Scout Leader, and member of Red Hat Society. She loved socializing, attending Everett HS reunions, luncheons with friends, and trips with her church. She was happiest when she could go shopping, always finding the perfect gifts for her family for birthdays and holidays. Her kindness and love will be missed by everyone.

Wanda was a devoted wife, caring mother, proud grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Dale Stephens. Her daughters and son in law, Paula Stephens Buckingham and Neal Buckingham, Kim Stephens. Grandchildren, Tyler Buckingham and Mariah Allard, Justin Buckingham, Connor and Cole Stephens, Jon Buckingham, Great grandchildren, Abel and Carson Buckingham, Xavier Allard. Many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family would like to thank Prisma Hospice nurses for their caring and compassion for Wanda. A special thank you and heartfelt gratitude to Melissa and Diane for their love and kindness to not only Wanda, but to our family as well. And most of all, to Neal who was her devoted caregiver and cherished son by marriage and in her heart.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
