Virgil L. Guffey

Virgil L. Guffey age 72 of Maryville passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019. He is now gone to his heavenly home and suffers no more. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Army for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Hettie Allen Guffey; brothers, Fred Guffey and Johnny Ray Guffey; sisters, Stella Guffey Rogers & Barbara Ann Blankenship. Survivors include his daughter, Kim (Kenny) Lane; the joy of his life and grandson, Evan Lane; granddaughters, Ashleigh Lane & Monica Cooper; two great-grandsons; dear friend, Irene Guffey; brothers, Edward & Bobby Guffey, sister, Sandra Hudgens; several nieces & nephews. The family & friends will assemble at 11:30a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the TN State Veterans Cemetery for a graveside service & interment with full military honors.
