Tressa J. Scramlin

October 17, 1945 — August 3, 2025

Tressa Joan (DuBois) Scramlin, 79, of Maryville TN, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025.

Survived by her Husband James E. Scramlin; Sons Jeff Scramlin and Ken (Kathy) Scramlin; Grandchildren; Tiffany (Matt) Miller, Kristen (Steve) Sankowski, Kasey Scramlin and Jesse (Lauren) Scramlin; great-Grandchildren Fiona Sankowski, Rowan Miller, Theodore Scramlin, and Sylvia Miller; Sister-in-law Sherry DuBois, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her Father Herbert Dubois; Mother Willa Lee DuBois; and Brother Wayne DuBois.

A native of Fairland, OK, Tressa (affectionately known as Sugie) moved to Florida at a young age. She grew up on the family’s bell pepper farm in Boynton Beach where she met her husband, Jim, after he returned from service in the Air Force. Tressa and Jim were married in Greenacres City, FL in 1964 and together they raised 2 sons. Tressa dedicated her life to the people she loved and enjoyed camping, bowling, tennis and going to the movies. She was a caregiver for her mother and father and would often enjoy keeping her grandchildren during the summer months. Jim and Tressa relocated to Maryville, TN in 2020 where she enjoyed reading and coloring.

Family and friends will assemble for a graveside service and interment at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on August 13, 2025 at 12:30pm. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tressa’s honor be directed to the American Diabetes Association, https://www.diabetes.org.
