Thelma Lenora Perkins, age 92, of Maryville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Shannondale Nursing Home of Maryville. Born on July 17, 1933, in Wilsonville, Alabama to Anderson and Edna McCammon. She grew into a woman whose warmth, strength, and generosity shaped five generations of family.
Thelma married Raymond Lee Perkins in 1950, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, faith, and dedication. She was the cherished mother of four, grandmother of four, great-grandmother of six, and great-great-grandmother of one. Her family was her greatest joy, and she loved each one deeply.
Throughout her life, Thelma was known for her kind spirit, unwavering faith, and love of cooking. Her home was always a place of comfort where everyone knew they were welcome, loved, and fed. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured, the traditions she created, and the love she gave so freely. She was a member of First Christian Church of Maryville and retired as a neonatal care nurse from the University of Tennessee Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Raymond Lee Perkins; Parents, Anderson and Edna McCammon; Brother, William McCammon.
She is survived by her Son, Robert Perkins (Kaye); Daughters, Kathy Perkins, Jane Webb (Tim), and Alice Perkins; Grandchildren, Theresa Runion, James Webb (Monica), Leslie Weed (Clay), and Kyle Perkins (Kayla); Great-Grandchildren, Kailia Runion (Chris), Connor Webb, LillyKate Webb, Ava Weed, Charlotte Perkins, Kara Perkins; Great-Great Grandchildren, Jareth Runion; Sister, Rachel Roberts (Bill) Many nieces and nephews and Special friends, Keith Lunna (Doris), and Diane Robinson.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Shannondale of Maryville and Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 06, 2025 at First Christian Church of Maryville with Spencer Garner officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, Graveside service will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
