Shirley C. Twiddy, beloved wife, mother, nana, and sister, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, in Knoxville, Tennessee. A devoted Air Force wife for 22 years, she raised her family while traveling across the country and overseas, always creating a loving home.

She was a talented quilter and gifted seamstress, sharing her kindness through handmade quilts for family, friends, and veterans. She loved her family deeply, was a member of First Baptist Church of Clewiston, and loved Jesus with all her heart.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Michael Twiddy, and brother, Larry Severson.

She is survived by her husband of almost 66 years, Charles R. Twiddy; her sisters, Mary Lou Cumuze and Mona Evans; her children, Charles Wayne Twiddy (Angela), Kimberly Ann Brobston (Barry), and Jeffrey Erin Twiddy (Colleen Costello); her grandchildren, Meghann, Jordan, Evan, Justin, William, Taylor, Paige, Joshua, Savannah, Emma, Lucy, and Michael; great-grandchildren; and extended family who loved her very much.

Her life was a beautiful reflection of love, faith, and quiet generosity. The quilts she stitched, the homes she built, and the lives she touched will continue to wrap those who knew her in warmth and comfort for years to come.
