Sarah L. Hilten

Sarah L. Hilten age 85 of Alcoa passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 at home. She was a member of Holston Conference United Methodist Churches and the Tennessee and Virginia Teachers Association. She was also a member of the D.A.R. and belonged to the Historical Society of the U.M.C. Preceded in the death by: Parents, Mr. William G. & Mrs. Helen Hudson Lenoir; Brothers, William Lenoir and Richard Lenoir; Sister-in-law, Eva Hilten. Survivors include: Husband of 64 years, Rev. Robert Hilten; Children, Bob Hilten, Richard Hilten, LeNoir H. Culbertson; Grandchildren, Claire & Roger Starkey, Roger & Annie Hilten, Ben Culbertson, Gavin Culbertson; Great-Grandchildren, Andrew Starkey & Jessica Starkey; Brother & Sister-in-law, John & Carolyn Hilten; Brother, Henry Lenoir; Sisters, Louise Childress and Evelyn Chandler. Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 13, 2010 at First United Methodist Church of Alcoa with Rev. Jerry Page officiating. There will be a private interment.
