Sandy Cutshaw Brown of Maryville passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. Sandy graduated from Porter High School, Class of 1971. She attended Tennessee Tech University and later graduated from Pellissippi State with her Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies. Sandy worked for several different law practices over her 20 years career as a paralegal. She was an exercise enthusiast teaching workout classes at the Springbrook Wellness Center for Blount Memorial. This brought her more joy than you will ever know. She absolutely loved teaching her workout classes. Sandy was a member of Oak View Baptist Church.

It is impossible to sum up just how incredible Sandy was in a few short paragraphs or what an impact on the lives she made on the people who were truly blessed enough to know her. Sandy loved unconditionally, gave without expectations of receiving and was an angel in the shape of my mother. She was genuine, original, witty, and fierce. There has never been, nor will there ever be another soul like hers. She was really something special. Sandy was a loving, devoted and protective mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend. Her loss is felt beyond measure. We miss her and we will carry her with us always. “There are some goodbyes that the heart never fully accepts” and this is one of them. Preceded in death by: husband, David D. Brown; mother, Mildred Cutshaw; grandparents, Sam & Vina Cutshaw and Joe & Mabel Brewer. Survivors include: daughter, Whitney Brown Cunningham; sons, Josh Brown (Misty) and Sam Brown (Alyssa); grandchildren, Zoey & Mason Cunningham, Breah & Wyatt Brown, and Maggie Brown; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Janie Brown Thomas & David Thomas; several nieces, and nephews; devoted friends, Mark, Vanessa, & Vicki, Jill.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday, August 17, 2026, at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 7:00 pm, Monday, August 17, 2026, at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Scott Huffstetler officiating. Interment will be at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Grandview Cemetery.
