Ruth E. Blades

Blades, Ruth E. age 95 of Maryville passed away Friday, September 8, 2006 at ParkWest Hospital. She was a member of Mtn. View United Methodist Church. She served in the Women's Army Corp during World War II. Ruth taught school in Blount and Knox counties. After her retirement, she taught at Everett Adult Learning Center. Preceded in death by: Husband, Kenneth E. Blades; three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include: Sister, Magdalene Young of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Gilliland officiating.
