Robert Fields

Robert Fields age 44 of Greenback passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007 at University of Tennessee Hospital after a courageous 6 year battle with cancer. Through his illness, his faith in God gave him strength and inspired many. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Maryville and he was a devout Christian. Robert was the HS boys basketball coach at Maryville Christian School and the proud coach of the Tennessee Heat AAU Girls basketball team. Above all he was a wonderful father and husband. Preceded in death by his father, Arthur Fields; brother, Arthur Fields, Jr.; father-in-law, Harrison "Babe" Hill. Survivors include wife, Joyce Fields; sons, Chad and Eric Fields; mother, Julie Fields; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Bobbie Fields, Farrell and Debbie Fields of Ohio, Rick and Lisa Fields; brother, Will Fields; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Joe Murphy, Judy and Don Thompson; mother-in-law, Janice Hill; brother-in-law, Brian and Emily Hill; sister-in-law, Teresa and Doug Chapman; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thanks to New Hope Baptist Church and Maryville Christian School for their love and support. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Mike Parker and Rev. Raymond Burnett officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Cloyd's Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to TVA Employees Credit Union, c/o Robert Fields.
