Richard Arlen Mohr

Richard (Dick) A. Mohr was born in Parker, South Dakota on March 26, 1945 to William and Hilde Mohr. Dick was baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, confirmed in the Christian faith, and was fed the life-giving body and blood of Jesus. He was an Elder of Praise Lutheran Church, a veteran of the Army National Guard, and an active hobbyist who loved blessing others with his many gifts and talents. He was united in holy matrimony to Amy Mohr on September 2, 2012 and blessed with 10 years of married life together. On September 17, 2022, God blessed Dick with holy death and took him home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead.

Dick is survived by his wife, Amy Mohr; former spouse Susan Mohr; children Jeff (Laura) Mohr, Robbie (Leah) Mohr, Colleen (Robert III) Williams, Justin Barnett; grandchildren Ryan (Catherine) Mohr, Tyler Mohr, August Mohr, Laina Williams, Robert Williams IV; brother Keith (Bridget) Mohr; sister Sandy (Jim) Hevelone; most dear uncle Rudy Sturzenbecher; and a host of extended family and close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Hilde Mohr. 

Services will be held on Saturday, September 24th at Praise Lutheran Church, 1850 Big Springs Road, Maryville, TN 37801. Friends will be received at 3:00pm with a funeral service at 4:00pm. Dick Mohr will be buried at Grandview Cemetery in a private service for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Praise Lutheran Church’s Building Fund (praiselutheran.com).

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord for our brother Dick Mohr.
