Reeford Marvin Douglas, age 80 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. Reeford was a long-time member of Riverdale Baptist Church. Reeford retired from Clayton Motors after forty-four years as a mechanic. He was an avid race fan and participant beginning with drag racing, go-carts, boats, dirt bikes, side-by-sides, and dirt track. During racing season, you could always find the Douglas Racing Team #52D at the dirt track. Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Linda McClain Douglas; daughter, Melissa Lynn Douglas; parents, Cline and Sylvia Douglas; parents-in-law, A.C and Rose McClain. Survived by sons, DeWayne Douglas, Mark and Stacy Douglas, David and Jenni Bryant; grandson, Logan Bryant; granddaughters, Callie Rule, Lindsey Moroz and husband David Moroz; great-grandson, Maverick; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Gary Acuff; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Brittany from Smokey Mountain Hospice for all the love and care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Riverdale Baptist Church, 7124 Thorngrove Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37914. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Riverdale Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Tommy Miller, and Rev. Mike Vincent officiating. The family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM for Interment on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Stony Point Cemetery.
