Raychel (Ray) Coulter Gibson age 89 of Clendenen Road, Maryville passed away Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Colonial Hills Nursing Home where she was loved and appreciated by the staff and patients and all those who knew her. She was known for her beautiful crocheted handwork and admired for gardening and flowers. She was a devoted Christian and member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Husband, Elmer Gibson; Son, Dr. Marvin Gibson; Granddaughter, Leann Drinnen; Brother, Horace Coulter; Sisters, Minnie Long, Bardie Pierce, and Ethel Pesterfield. Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law, Don & Sue Gibson of Maryville; Daughter & Son-in-law, Betty & Wayne Drinnen of Maryville; Daughter-in-law & Husband, Jane Gibson Church & Gary Church of Greensboro, NC; Grandchildren, Lisa Gibson Pemberton, Lynn Gibson, Lara Gibson Williams, Leslie Gibson Phillips, Jason Drinnen, Michele Barnes, Steve Rose, and Jason Rose; Seven Great-Grandchildren; Sister & Brother-in-law, Johnnie & Ralph Bailey of Alcoa; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 11:30 AM, Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Dr. Charles Bailey, Dr. Lynn Gibson, and Dr. Dale Ellenburg officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience after 8:00 AM, Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Smith Trinity Chapel.
