In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mother “Mama”

With profound sadness yet hearts full of gratitude, we announce the peaceful passing of our cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Paz Logan Gragasin, on December 8, 2025, at the beautiful age of 90.

Born on July 23, 1935 Echague (Isabella Province), Philippines, she lived a life rich with love, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. A woman of deep faith and gentle spirit and strong will, she embodied the true meaning of kindness; she was the steady heartbeat of our home, the one who always had an open door, a listening ear, and arms ready to comfort.

Throughout her 90 remarkable years, she touched countless lives with her warmth, her homemade meals that tasted like love itself, and her endless patience. Whether rocking grandchildren to sleep, her love for playing mahjong and ballroom dance with Dad or offering wise financial consultation over a cup of tea, she made everyone around her feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.

She was the proud mother of Jocelyn, Renato, Jojo and Glen, adored grandmother “Mama” to Shaun, Brian, Paul, Kyle, Brandon, Lauren, Alyssa, Celine and Chris and joyful great-grandmother to Jayden, Oakleigh, Olivia, Ellie, Sierra, Haven, Miles, Francisca, Rahkii, Elias and Alina. Her legacy lives on in every story told at family gatherings, every recipe passed down, and every act of kindness her family and friends continue because she taught us how.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 67 years, Joscorro Patricio Gragasin Sr., whose life was made complete by her steadfast love and partnership. Together they built a beautiful family rooted in faith, resilience, and enduring devotion.

In her final days, surrounded by the family she cherished above all else, she slipped away peacefully, leaving us with the priceless gift of her example: a life lived with grace, humility, and boundless love.

Though our hearts ache with missing her, we find comfort knowing she is reunited with parents Emilia and Jose along with her siblings and God. We will carry her with us always; in our laughter, our traditions, and the way we love one another.

A celebration of her beautiful life will be held Saturday, December 13th (3-5 pm) and Sunday, December 14th (noon-2 pm) at Smith Funeral Home, 1402 Tuckaleechee Pike Maryville, TN 37803. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org) or Hospice Foundation of America (https://hospicefoundation.org/)

Rest in eternal peace, dear Mom.

You were our whole world, and we will love you forever.

— With all our love,

Your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone whose life you made brighter
