Nellie Blanche Gatlin age 78 of Alcoa passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, FL. She was a Devoted Member of Calvary Baptist Church and a wonderful, caring mother. She will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by: Husband, Fred C. Gatlin; Parents, Tom & Nellie Patton; Sister, June Maples; Brother, Cedric Patton. Survivors include: Daughters and Sons-in-law, Elaine & Leonard Walker of Alcoa, Freddie Kay & Steve Dykes of Kingsport, Anna Cooper of Alcoa, and Janice & Eldra Best of Maryville; Son, Clayton Gatlin of Alcoa; Grandchildren, Mark & Michelle Walker, David & Heather Cooper, Brian & Kristy Best, Jason & Sarah Best, Charlotte Cooper, Juliana Richardson, Joseph Dykes, William Gatlin, and Eric Gatlin; Great-Granddaughter, Emily Perry; Brother, James Patton of Michigan; Sisters, Billie Ruth Anderson of Alcoa, Sylvia Shields Bell of Maryville, Dorothy Miller of Alcoa, and Kaye Kennedy of Vonore; Special cousin, Pat Yates of Daytona. Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Danny Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
