Nellie (Doc) Ilene Shuler Burchfield age 76 passed away Wednesday, February 02, 2011 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Preceded in death by: Parents, Clyde and Georgia Shuler; Brother, Henry Tolbert Shuler; Son, Johnny Ray Burchfield. Survivors include: Husband of 60 years, Tomie Burchfield; Daughter and Son-in-law, Wanda & Michael Boring; Grandson, Samuel Boring; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Clyde Ray and Bunny Shuler of Maryville, Clell & Betty Shuler, Tommy & Gail Shuler, Larry & Carol Shuler, Steve Shuler all of Townsend; Sisters & Brothers-in-law, JoAnn & Glenn Kirkpatrick of Knoxville, Linda & Jeff Miland and Karen & Bill Godfrey; several nieces and nephews. Nellie also leaves behind her friends and staff at Colonial Hills Healthcare Center. Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM, Friday, February 4, 2011 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Cooper, Rev. Dale Buchanan, and Rev. Ronnie Hepperly officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
