Nell Bailey Moore

Nell Bailey Moore, age 93 of Greenback, entered God’s Heavenly presence on August 31, 2022. She was the daughter of John William Bailey and Hattie Lou Jones Bailey of Tazewell, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice E. Moore; sister, Ruth Ann Bailey Burke; son-in-law, William Simpson. She is survived by brother, The Rev. William Ray Bailey of Kansas; son, The Rev. Daniel F. Moore and wife Margaret of Greenback, TN; daughter, Nancy Moore Simpson of New York; granddaughter, Kari Ann Moore of Newport, TN. Nell graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan College. She served as secretary of Maryville Jr. High and Maryville High School. She also served as secretary of the First United Methodist Church of Maryville, St. John’s United Methodist Church Maryville, and St. Paul Lutheran Church Maryville. She also was a homebound teacher for several years. Nell was a member of the First United Methodist Church Maryville. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 PM for Graveside Service and Interment Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Grandview Cemetery.
