Mitchell Lee Smith

Mitchell Lee Smith, age 60, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 10, 1964, in Bucyrus, Ohio to David and Ruth Ann (Adams) Smith.

Mitch was a 1982 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. He was a gifted athlete who earned honors in football. He worked for Malibu Boats for over 30 years and made lasting friendships along the way.

Mitch was an avid fisherman who enjoyed his time on the water and in the outdoors. Mitch found joy in feeding “his” deer and other wildlife in his backyard. For many years the lake was his piece of heaven on earth.

He is proceeded in death by his father, David Smith, and is survived by his mother, Ruth Ann Smith; his children, Jess Smith; Allie Smith; grandchildren, Sidney and Natalie Smith; sister, Cindy (Larry) Honaker; nephew, Josh (Tera) Honaker; nieces, Jenna (William) Griffith, Mackenzie (Howard) Cole; Malorie (Blake) Heinlen; 11 great nephews and nieces; his former wife, Kathy Smith; and many other loving family members.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
