Melissa Ann Moore

Melissa Ann Moore, 60 of Louisville, TN went home to be with her heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 02, 2023.  Melissa was raised in Israel until the age of 13 by her late parents, Dr. Merrill D. Moore Jr. and Patty Moore.  She enjoyed playing the piano and singing in the church choir throughout her life.  Upon graduating Alcoa high School, she became a LPN to pursue her love of caring for the elderly.  She had a passion for Jesus, family, and the UT Vols.  Although her later years were riddled with many health issues, she always maintained a positive attitude and love of others.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Merrill D. Moore Jr. and Patty Moore; grandparents, Dr. Merrill D. Moore Sr. and Lorena Moore; grandmother, Golda Pitchford.  Survivors include her brother Doug Moore and sister-in-law, Robyn Moore; son, Jonathan Beck; daughter, Tricia Hook, son-in-law Michael Hook and their children Adelina, Michael II, Eleanor; and daughter Lauren Mishoe and children Airiana and Bryson; and special cousin Phil Pitchford.  The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and doctors who cared for Melissa at UT Hospital, especially those who provided extra love and support on the 12^th floor.  They are truly selfless in their care and service.  The family will receive friends on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 12:00 until 2:00 PM in the Smith Chapel with a Celebration of Melissa’s life to follow at 2:00 PM with Rev.
