Mary Elizabeth Waters

Mary Elizabeth (Russell) Waters, age 88, of Maryville, passed away, Wednesday, December 31, 2025. She retired from AT&T with 31 years of service.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Daniel Waters; parents Augre Milton Russell and Lois (Johnson) Russell; brothers (M.G.) Milton Gordon Russell and Robert Vasco Russell and sisters Lorene (Russell) Cupp Baudouin and Millie (Russell) Wilburn.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Angela (Waters) Bean; grandson, Ethan Bean; great grandson, Talon Bean; several nieces and nephews; special friend Nancy Bunch; bonus grandchildren Vernon Hamlet and Jenny Phillips and bonus great grandchildren Mahala Hamlet and Braxton Jones.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 8, 2026, 5:00-7:00pm in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary. A service will immediately follow with Rev. Marvin Sellars presiding. The family will assemble at 3:00pm Friday, January 9, 2025 at Russells Cemetery at Maryville Baptist Tabernacle for interment.
