Mary Jo Dickenson

Mary Jo Dickenson age 85 of Walland, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.  She was a member of Oak View Baptist Church, Walland, Tennessee.  She was a graduate of Porter High School.  She retired from the First Tennessee Bank.  She was also a member of Mary Blount Eastern Star.  She loved to camp in Florida during the winter months.  She collected anything that had strawberries on them.  She was preceded in death by:  husband, Paul Dickenson; parents, Carl & Ruby McCarter; sister, Carlee Wilson; brother, Randall McCarter; stepsons, Terry & Larry Dickenson.  She is survived by:  sister, Eva (John) Clark, Maryville, TN; sister-in-law, Maxine McCarter of Maryville, TN; brother-in-law, Bill Wilson, Rome, GA; step grand-daughters, Jerrica Dickenson, Becky (Brandon) Pisani, Carrie Anderson, Mary Margaret Sharp, Jessica (Bryan) Woolard all of Maryville, TN; nephew, Matt Clark, Maryville, TN; nieces, Marty (Bud) Sands of Maryville, TN, Kolloia (Jay) Hallcox of Seymour, TN; a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and very special friend, Wayne Adams.  Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, Monday, January 16, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel.  Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM with Dr. Larry Pugh officiating.  Family and friends will assemble for interment at Oak View Baptist Church Cemetery in Walland, TN at 3:00 PM, Monday, January 16, 2023.  The family wishes to thank the Hospice nurses from UT for their loving care.  Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.SmithFuneralandCremation.com.
