Martha Carol Miller, age 71, of Maryville, went home to be with the Lord peacefully Friday May 15, 2026. Carol was born January 29, 1955 in Sunbright, TN to Lemuel and Velva June Newport.

She was a follower of Jesus. She was a graduate of Sunbright School class of 1972. She was a free spirited woman who lived her life her way. She was cherished by so many in this world and leaves behind a lifetime of memories. If you knew Carol then you know she loved fast cars, to go dancing, shopping, the nail salon, always dressed to impress and always had a Dr. Pepper in her hand. She will always be beautiful to us.

She is survived by her beloved son and son-in-law Cagney and James Miller; sister and brother-in-law Joye and Todd Bussen; brother and sister-in- law Bruce and Martha Newport; grandchildren Samuel Jones, Isaiah Jones and, Josh Herrmann; many nieces, nephews and friends; special friends Kay Littrell and Vanessa Brown.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Lemuel and Velva June Newport; sister Gail Williams, brother Brad Newport, beloved partner Frank Atkins, niece Jennifer Pride, nephew Gabriel Jordan.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Joye and Todd for all of their support and help. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Smith Trinity Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 with Brother Terry Potter officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 9:00am, Friday, May 22, 2026 at Grandview Cemetery for interment.
