Maggie Irene Spence

Maggie Houston Spence, age 93, passed away February 17, 2010. She was a resident at Parkview West Senior Living, Knoxville, She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was a member of West Maryville Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Husband, Marion Waldo Spence; Father & Mother, W.R. & Mary Elizabeth Houston; Sisters, Golda, Nora, Julie, Blanche & Ruth; Brothers, Ernest, Hal, Charles and Mitchell Houston along with half brothers & sisters, nieces, and nephews. She loved working with her hands and was a master at quilting and sewing. She cherished the day she birthed twin daughters who lovingly survive her: Gail Smith & husband Fred of Knoxville; Dale Tallent & husband Hal of Alcoa; Granddaughter, Stacy Moody & husband Todd of Knoxville; Grandson, Mark Tallent & wife Angie of Johnson City; Great-Granddaughters, Meredith & Anne-Katherine Tallent of Johnson City. Thanks mother and grandmother for all the memories. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, February 19, 2010 with Pastor Bill Dixon officiating. A private entombment will be held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to: West Maryville Baptist Church, 810 W.
