Loyd Leon Petty Jr. (Junior) age 80 of Greenback passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026. He retired from Tennessee Farmers CO-OP after 42 years of service. Loyd served in U.S. Army from 1966-1968 during Vietnam War.

Preceded in death by: parents, Loyd and Geraldine Petty; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Harrison Spires; sister, Carolyn McNeilly Russell; parents-in-law, Ray and Nina Lemons.

Survivors include: wife of 56 years, Martha Petty; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Kevin Tipton; daughter, Suzanne Petty; granddaughters, Megan and (husband) Bradley Sparks, Emily Tipton; one great grandchild on the way (boy); brother-in-law, J.H. Russell; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 7:00 PM with Rev. Scott Huffstettler, and Rev. Lon Shockley officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Cloyds Creek Cemetery.
