Louise Beltramini Miller, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Louise was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 25, 1926. She was married in 1948 and in 1958, along with her growing family, relocated to Monroe, Connecticut. Her life was dedicated to raising her family. She had a professional career that included working in association with the many notable scientists at Radiation Laboratory of MIT during World War II and serving as Executive Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools in Monroe, Connecticut for many years. She retired to Maryville, TN in 2002 and was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Santa Beltramini. Louise is survived by: Her loving husband of 62 years, Norman; sons, Dr. Christopher Miller & wife, Judith of Knoxville, Dr. Michael Miller & wife, Nancy of Falmouth, Maine; grandchildren, Benjamin, Hannah, Alison, Katherine, Kelly & Christopher; brother, Henry Beltramini & wife Beverly of Fredricksburg, Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to: East Tennessee Children's Hospital, 2018 Clinch Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Friday, February 18, 2011 in the Smith East Chapel. Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
