Lou Allie (Bobbie) Miller Williams, age 86, of Louisville, passed away at home Wednesday, March 16, 2011. She was born November 19, 1924 to John & Myrtle Miller in Rafter, TN. Bobbie was active at Armona Baptist Church for over 54 years. She worked at Alcoa, Inc., and was a member of the 25 year club. She loved working with flowers, quilting, and reading. In retirement she and Willis enjoyed traveling and especially traveling with the Keenagers of Armona Baptist Church. She will always be remembered for her love of family and friends, her crazy sense of dry humor, and especially her Southern charm and quick wit. The family wants to specifically thank her caregivers, Diana and Lori, and a special thanks to family friend and caregiver Tina Hunter for all their loving support and care. Preceded in death by: Husband of 55 years, Willis Edward Williams; Siblings, Lloyd Miller, Lucy Miller Hall, Jean Miller Robinson, Aaron Miller, Reece Miller, and Norman Miller. Survivors include: Sisters, Mafel (Clifford) Debuty of Alcoa, Jolena Young of Maryville, and Ina Lemming of LaVista, TX; Children, Larry (Manlika) Williams of Louisville, David (Karen) Williams of Alcoa, Bruce Williams of Kingsport, Dennis Williams of Louisville, and Donna Williams (Kevin) Carver of Louisville; Seven grandchildren, Joshua Williams, Samantha (Scott) Blair, Nathan Williams, Kristen Williams (Justin) Sendelweek, Arisa Pomhin (fiancé Tyler Pavlis), Emily Williams, Taylor Shaffer, Marshall Williams; One great-grandchild, Tanner Blair. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Friday, March 18, 2011 at Smith West Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Bob Lawson of Armona Baptist and Rev. Clifford Debuty officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Armona Baptist Church, 2211 Louisville Road, Alcoa, TN 37701.
