Thomas, Lon E. age 85 of Maryville passed away Thursday, April 6, 2006 at his home. He was a long time member of Clark's Grove Presbyterian Church and retired from the Blount County School System. Preceded in death by: Parents, Ed & Maude Thomas; Son, Jerry Thomas; Granddaughter, Traci Thomas; Brothers, Ray, Glen, Charles; Sister, Sis Tucker. Survivors include: Wife, Marie Langford Thomas; Son and Daughter-in-law, Marty & Betty Thomas; Daughter, Sue Amburn; Grandchildren, Tammy Thomas, Todd & wife Tanya Thomas, Jeanne Tipton; Great-Grandchildren, Alisha, Courtney, Cory, Russell, Tori, Crislyn, Seth; Sisters, Jessie Norris and Lina Denton; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, Homer & Mary Langford, Ted & Margaret Langford; Brother-in-law, Ted Henry; Sister-in-law, Jane Williams; Special friends, Ed Wade, Devoy Brunson, Leon Berrong, Robert Maxey and Clyde Irwin. Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 9, 2006 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Gale Keown and Rev. J.C. Greenwell officiating.
