Lawrence E. Walters age 75 of Rockford passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 5, 2011. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Rockford. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Preceded in death by: Wife, Edna Walters; Brothers, Kenneth, Billy & Reagan; Parents, Pierce & Ruth Walters. Survivors include: Step-daughter, Eva Fine; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Jim & Lois Walters, Sharon Walters, Jackie & Betty Walters, and Ronnie & Leslie Walters; Nephew, Kevin Walters; Nieces, Rita Walters and Amy Walters; many other nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Damon Gibson officiating. Interment will follow as Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
