Lawrence D. Dixon Jr. age 70 of Maryville passed away Friday, April 05, 2013 at the family home. Lawrence was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was retired from C & C Trucking. Lawrence owned Bunny's Honey and was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Walland. He served in the United States Army. Preceded in death by; Parents, Lawrence & Florence Dixon; Adoptive Parents, Frank & Mary Makepeace; Brother Bob Makepeace. Survivors include: Wife of 49 years, Edith Dixon; Daughter & Son-in-law, Melissa & Ricky Sands; Granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Reynolds; Sister & Brother-in-law, Phyllis & Carl Lindner of New Jersey; Special Sisters-in-law, Laverne Cable, Merle Tipton, Barbara Skinner; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Monday, April 8, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Elder Eric Von Sacken officiating. Family and friends will assemble for inurnment at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Grandview Cemetery.
