Kim Harris, a deeply cherished daughter, sister, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 28,2025, at the age of 63. Kim brought light and love into the lives of everyone she met. With a heart full of compassion, a spirit rooted in faith, and a life dedicated to caring for others, she leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will continue to inspire all who had the blessing of knowing her.
Bom on June 19,1962, Kim was a lifelong resident of Tennessee. She graduated from Alcoa High School in 1980 and went on to attend X-ray Technician School, which led to a fulfilling 40-year career at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville. Known for her compassion, professionalism, and warm heart, Kim dedicated her life to helping others in the medical field.
A devoted woman of Baptist faith, Kim's life was centered around her love for God and Jesus Christ. Her strong faith was reflected in her daily actions and the love and care she showed everyone around her.
Outside of work, Kim loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. She found joy in making memories with those she loved and was always the first to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.
Kim is survived by her loving mother, Carol Tuttle; her devoted partner, Jim Houser; and her cherished sister, Lisa Harris. She also leaves behind many dear friends, extended family members, and colleagues who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Harris, and her stepfather, Neil Tuttle, both of whom held special places in her heart.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Open Arms Care, 7325 Oak Ridge Hwy #200, Knoxville, TN 37931 in memory of Kim Harris and in honor of Lisa Harris.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 PM, Friday, July 18, 2025 at Smithview Pavilion. A celebration of Kim's life will be held at 6:00 PM with Rev. Scott Kidd officiating. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and selfless service will live on in all who knew and loved her.
