Kimberly Renee Byrd

Kimberly Renee Byrd, age 59 of Rockford, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Kimberly was a special education secretary at Heritage High School. She loved teaching children’s church, watching her grandchildren play ball, camping, and relaxing on the front porch. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew her. Preceded in death by parents, Joe and Fannie Key; sister, Kristy Key Shinlever. Survived by her husband of 40 years, Randy Byrd Sr.; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy Byrd II and Kristi Byrd of Maryville, Joshua and Meagan Byrd of Maryville; grandchildren, Elishia and Jamie Byrd; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and David Ott of Knoxville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tarklin Valley Church, 8827 Jett Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Dennis Robinson and Josh Byrd officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM for Interment Friday, March 31, 2023 at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Stanley Knight officiating.
