Kerry Joseph Skinner

Kerry Joseph Skinner, age 78 of Maryville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the family home.  Kerry was a devout Christian serving with his whole heart.  He was a former member of Abundant Life Tabernacle in Meridian, Mississippi for many years where he was active singing and playing the Bass guitar and was an active member of Maryville 1^st Apostolic Church.  He was retired from General Motors after many years of service working in Meridian, Mississippi, Wichita Falls, Texas, and finally in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Kerry loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew him.  Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph David and Dorothy Smith Skinner.  Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Joanna M. Skinner of Maryville; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Nathaniel and Diana Michelle Skinner of Maryville; grandchildren, Joseph Nathaniel Skinner II of Maryville, and Aria Danielle (Riley) Presson;  brothers and sisters-in-law, David Wayne (Martha) Skinner of palm Coast, Florida, and George Keith Skinner of Kernersville, North Carolina;  sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie Reba (Reggie) Dill of Florence, Mississippi and Dottie Rebecca (Butch) Lily of Toomsuba, Mississippi; The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm in the Smith Trinity Chapel with a celebration of Kerry’s life to follow at 7:00 pm with Rev.
