Katherine Pat Foster-Petrich, age 74, of Maryville, TN, passed away on February 24, 2026. She was born on April 1, 1951, in Norris, TN.

Pat is survived by her husband, William Petrich of Gig Harbor, WA; her daughter, Lindy Hill, and son-in-law, David Hill; and her three cherished grandchildren, Elsie Hill, Elliott Hill, and Eleanor Hill, all of Maryville, TN. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert (Robin) Sain, Riley (Sue) Sain, and Scott (Pam) Sain; her nieces and nephews, Abby Sain, Andy Sain, Alex Henson, Dylan Sain, Colby Sain, Daniel Sain, and Ericka Sain; along with several beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Cloyd Sain and Olive Elizabeth Sain.

Pat was an extraordinary nurse whose compassion and dedication touched many lives. She worked as a psychiatric nurse at Lakeshore Mental Health Institute and deeply loved her work. Later in life, she furthered her calling by becoming a Nurse Practitioner.

She adored her grandchildren and delighted them with countless stories. Pat enjoyed long drives through the countryside and hiking in the mountains. She had a love for adventure and exploration, living in many places across the country. She especially cherished her time in Alaska, where she fell in love with the beauty and spirit of Alaska while living and working there.

Known for never having idle hands, Pat often surprised her family by launching into major home projects and renovations. She loved to laugh and always had a good joke ready to share. Her warmth, humor, and adventurous spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Alcoa First Methodist Church on Friday, March 6, 2026. The family will receive friends from 5:30–6:30 p.m., with the service to follow at 6:30 p.m. In keeping with Pat’s wishes, guests are invited to come comfortably dressed, wear bright colors, and share a fun story in celebration of her life.
