Joyce Lena Byrd, age 70, of Maryville went to be with Her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at her home. She was a proud member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She retired from J.R. Waulford Engineering with 33 years of faithful service. Preceded in death by: parents, Blanch & Edna Evans; brother, Bill Evans. Survived by: Husband of 48 years, David Byrd of Maryville; sons & daughters-in-law, Michael & Shannon Byrd of Bonaire, Georgia and Jeff & Whitney Byrd of Strawberry Plains, and Doug & Kristy Byrd of Savannah, GA; brother and sister-in-law, David & Shirley Evans; nine grandchildren, Chase, Allyson, Logan, Daylen, Carson, Maggie, Jackson, Lilly, and Zachary; great-granddaughter, Hadley. The family wishes to express their great appreciation for the care provided by Cynda Savage, RN. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Smith West Chapel.
