Jone Delois Burnett

October 18, 1948 — January 4, 2026

Jone Young Burnett (Hatcher), age 77, of Louisville, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2026. Born on October 18, 1948, she was the beloved daughter of Cordia and Cecil Hatcher.

Jone lived a life grounded in faith, devoted to family, and filled with service to others. Those who knew her best would describe her as steady, generous, and quietly strong—someone who showed love through her actions and who never hesitated to step in when someone needed help. She carried herself with humility and grace, and her life was a reflection of the values she held close: faith, compassion, hard work, and loyalty. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Daniel Burnett, and while her family deeply feels her absence, they find comfort in the legacy she leaves behind and the promise of her eternal home.

Jone retired from First Tennessee Bank after many years of dedicated service, where she was known for her professionalism, reliability, and genuine care for others. She approached her work the same way she approached her life—with integrity and a servant’s heart. Jone was also a faithful and active member of Cornerstone Church of God, where she poured herself into her church family and found strength and purpose in her walk with the Lord. Her love for God was evident not only in her words, but in the way she lived each day. She found special joy in working with Compassion Ministries, where she helped feed and support communities in need, giving her time and energy to make a difference in the lives of others.

Above all, Jone was most proud of her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, and she took great delight in watching her family grow through the years. Nothing brought her greater happiness than time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren sharing stories, celebrating milestones, and simply being together. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion, and her family will carry her memory forward through the countless lessons she taught and the love she so freely gave.

Jone is survived by her children, Heather Richards and her fiancé, Dr. Christopher Cummins, and Dusty Young and his wife, Alyson Young; her stepsons, Christopher Burnett and Rodney Burnett (Karen); grandchildren Cori, Alexis, Cian, Lynen, Fisher, Christian (Jon), and Anna (Jarrid); great-grandchildren Easton, Beckham, Decker, Fallon Belle, Lainey, and Lettie; her sisters Chip Middleton (Bill), Sandy McNeilly (David), and Minnie (and her late husband, David); as well as several nieces and one nephew. Jone was a loyal friend, a faithful servant of God, and deeply loved by all who knew her. Her warmth, generosity, and steadfast faith will be greatly missed, but her impact will remain forever in the lives she touched.

The family will receive friends 11:00am-1:00pm, Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Cornerstone Church of God in Knoxville. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm with Rev. Steve McCullar officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00pm at Louisville Cemetery.
