John Minton

Minton, John age 61 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He attended First United Methodist Church of Maryville. He was a Navy Veteran and a member of VFW. He was a college professor at numerous schools and received his PhD from Duke University. He was preceded in death by his parents, John William II & Irma Minton. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Niles Minton; daughter Teaka Katherine; sister-in-law & husband, Sandra & Fred Kyle of Loudon; aunt & uncle, Phyllis & Ed Cooper of Marietta, GA; 3 nieces & families, Elizabeth Hiett, Christy Robertson and Jennifer Kyle.
