John Carroll Lankford, age 50, of Gatlinburg, left to be with The Lord on April 14, 2017. Beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather; John was an avid hiker, a network engineer for over 20 years, and a highly treasured member of the Gatlinburg Elk’s Lodge. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 28 years, Penny Lankford; His children, Joe and wife, Katie; Summer and husband, Aaron; Seven grandchildren, Drew, Bree, Carson, Aubrey, Rheannon, John Wayne, and Colton; Sister, Marlene Ezell and husband, L.A.; Mother, Edna. A special thanks to all our friends and family who have surrounded us with love, thoughts, and prayers during this difficult time.
