Hale, John Howard, Retired United Airlines agent of 43 years, US Army Veteran passed away March 4, 2007 after a courageous yet merciless 2 year battle with brain and colon cancer. Throughout his failing health his love and fascination with nature, history, music, pro football and family gatherings never ceased. He was a gentleman of impeccable character, dignity, generosity and compassion. Cherished and devoted husband and father, he will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by: Parents, Howard and Novella Hale. Survivors include: Wife of 51 years, Shirley; Son and Daughter-in-law, Britt & Elaine; Daughter and Son-in-law, Rachel & Tommy. Faithful relatives, Iva, Jake, Virginia, Buddy Ruth, Robert, Becky, Jimmy, Helen; Treasured Nephew, Bennie and artist Julie Costner. His desire to be cremated and private service were honored on March 6, 2007. Our family wishes to express their gratitude for the many acts of thoughtfulness from family and friends.
