Joann Shuler, age 77 formerly of Townsend, TN, passed away Tuesday, April 09, 2024 at her daughters home in Elverson, PA. Early into her marriage; alongside my Father, she helped to create Holder Optical in Midland Shopping Center. She was active in the Jaycees and many local charitable organizations such as Toys for Tots, Holiday Meal Programs and active with the Maryville Chamber of Commerce. She was also a local department store Model for Proffitt's, Woolworth and Belk. She owned many businesses. She was the owner of The Townsend Art and Frame Gallery, Golds Gym in Sevierville, Tennessee and also Chefs 2 Cafe in Farragut, Tennessee. My Mother and I shared the love of music. She told me one time traveling along the back roads of Pa, that she never saw someone love music as much as I do. She enjoyed History throughout her lifetime and one of her favorite All-American Heroes was the man that broke the Sound Barrier. Chuck Yeager. She admired him greatly. Found him fascinating. In addition to her decorators touch and her floral arrangements, She loved hiking her Father’s Home Place in the Smokies, family picnics in the park and absolutely loved spending time with her family. Everyone has been saying how easy, comforting she was to talk to. Easy ear. She was a friend to everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Georgia (Lane) Shuler of Cades Cove, Townsend; brothers, Clell, Tolbert, Clyde Ray and Tommy (Gail) Shuler of Townsend, TN; sisters, Nellie Burchfield, Lynda (Jeff) Miland of Townsend, TN;  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer (Holder) and Charles (Chuck) Corallo of Elverson, PA; granddaughters, Sierra Kathleen Phillips of Elverson, PA and Olivia Marie Corallo of Newbern, NC; Brothers, Larry (Carrol) Shuler and Steve Shuler, all of Townsend, TN; Sister, Karen (Bill) Myers of Townsend, TN; beloved Sister-in-law, Gail Shuler of Townsend; many beloved Nieces and Nephews.
