Jimmy Dale Quiett

Jimmy Dale Quiett, age 79 of Maryville, passed away Friday, December 09, 2022 at the family home.  Jimmy was born and raised in Blount County.  He was a graduate of Everett High School and retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co. after 40 years of service.  He was a member of Unity Full Gospel Church.  Jimmy was a very kind-hearted and loving man who took great joy in his family and never met a stranger.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Iva Lee Quiett; sister, Betty Miller; brothers, George, Ullyss, Ray, and Alan Quiett.  Survivors include his wife, Wonda Tallent Quiett; daughters and their spouses, Melissa Dyer and Dawn Horton of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Tina and Daniel Messner of Maryville, and Loretta and Howie Solomon of Maryville;  grandchildren, Jill and Andrew Tidwell, Charlie Dyer, Danielle and Jacqueline Anderson, and Jessica Pogue;  sisters, Mary Faye Webb and Dorothy Strickland, both of Maryville.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm in the Smith Trinity Chapel with a Celebration of Jimmy’s life to follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Mike McClure officiating.  Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel for the Entombment.
