Jimmie Gregory

Jimmie Guinn Gregory age 90 of Maryville passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. A lifelong educator and coach, he influenced generations of Blount County students in his 50+ year educational career. Culminating in his inductions into the Blount County Education and Sports Halls of Fames. A dedicated grandfather, he loved sharing his love of the outdoors, tennis and golf with his grandchildren. He was an avid cook who could often be found in the kitchen making holiday meals as well as jams and jellies. Preceded in death by; Parents Frantz and Anna Gregory, brothers, Ronald Gregory, Larry Gregory, Mike Gregory and sister, Jo Ann Hall. Survived by wife Evelyn Gregory, sons Jeff Gregory and Jason Gregory, stepson Eugene Eakens and step daughter Sandra Sotoudeh and sisters Karen Axley, Gail Mullaney, Pat McMahon, Judy Gregory and Bonnie Ogle. Grandchildren; Michael and Elena Gregory, Caleb and Eli Eakens, Sarah and Matthew Sotoudeh and great-grand children Porter and Owen Eakens. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Monday, December 8, 2025 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Greg Long and Mike Pearson officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Grandview Mausoleum and Chapel.
