Jesse Oliver Bond, age 85, of Maryville, TN passed away after a long illness on March 21, 2026. He was born in Deering, MO to the late Otto and Izora Bond on March 12, 1941. Jesse grew up on a large farm working alongside his father and brothers. He attended Deering High School graduating in 1959, then attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN in their AG program. He returned to the farm for a few years, then moved to Memphis, TN in 1975 going to work with Allis-Chalmers selling farm equipment. In 1979 Jesse went to work for Massey Ferguson, which later became AGCO Corporation, until his retirement in 2009 after 30 years of traveling the Eastern United States as a Regional Dealer Development Manager.
After moving to Memphis, Jesse met his wife Sandra in 1976, and they were married in 1978. He was a good, kind soul and a good husband, father to John, a fun-loving uncle, a caring brother and a loyal friend. He never met a stranger and treated everyone with respect and kindness. He will be remembered for his witticisms that would always make you smile. As a friend said, he was a gentleman and a gentle man.
Jesse is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra Warren Bond; step-son John Warren Crafton and wife Margaret (Meg) of Vonore, TN; step-granddaughter Danielle Tindell of Vonore, TN; brother James Allen Bond (Gay) of Memphis, TN and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, Wayne Bond, Bill Bond, Richard Bond and Marcia Bond Johnson. Family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:00 am, Monday, March 30, 2026 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am.
