Jeffery “Jeff” C. Jones, age 61, passed away on February 16, 2026. He was born on January 25, 1965, in Blount County, Tennessee.

Jeff was a proud graduate of William Blount High School- Class of 1983, where he developed his love of football. He continued his education and athletic career playing football at Middle Tennessee State University, an experience he always cherished.

Jeff dedicated more than 40 years of hard work and service with Mayfield Dairy Company, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of his coworkers. He later completed his career as a skilled jet engine mechanic with Standard Aero, where his strong work ethic, mechanical talent, and reliability were deeply valued.

Outside of his work, Jeff found his greatest joy in the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who appreciated the peace and beauty of nature. He was also a passionate beekeeper. Above all, Jeff’s greatest happiness came from spending time with his beloved grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Larry Jones, and his sister, Krystal Jones.

He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Lori Jones; his son, Logan York (Chelsey); his daughter, Savannah York (Cameron); his cherished grandchildren, Ryland, Dallas, Harlow, Tatum, Hutson, Cash, Caylor, and Dakota; and his mother, Brenda Jones. He also leaves behind extended family members and many dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Funeral services will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Maryville, TN on February 28th with receiving of friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, with the funeral service to follow immediately afterward. Jeff will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, steady presence, and deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives of those who loved him.
