Janet Lothian

August 10, 1962 — June 26, 2007

Janet (Pearles) Larson Lothian of Ootlewah, TN, wonderful loving mother, beautiful sister and friend lost her battle with brain cancer and went to be with the Lord on June 26, 2007 at the age of 44. She was the daughter of the late Janet G. and Allen Pearles and grand daughter of the late Charles F. and Harriett G. Lawrence. She is survived by her 2 beautiful children, Joshua E. Larson (16) and Hannah G. Larson (10) of Maryville, TN; Her Sisters, Barbara Melnick and her husband Bob of Mesa, AZ and Dottie Jo Balzer and her husband Mike and their daughter Gracie of Pittsburgh, PA; Dear friends, Eric and Melinda Larson and their family of Maryville, TN; Her Aunts and Uncles, Shirley and David Kuniewicz of Baden PA, Bob and Denise Lawrence of Sewickley, PA and Dottie and Bill Lohnes of Richfield,OH as well as many friends, cousins and her little Maltese "Muffin". A 1980 graduate of Quaker Valley High School, she received an Associates Degree in Chemical Engineering at Pellissippi State Technical Community College of Knoxville, TN. She most recently worked as a chemical lab technician at WF Taylor. She was a member of Bayside Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed scrapbooking, reading, photography and outdoors. Janet was born in Pittsburgh, PA and grew up in Leetsdale, PA. She also resided in Largo, FL, Maryville, TN and Chattanooga, TN. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 30th at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 3736 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37804. Pastor Greg Long will be officiating the service. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. A luncheon will be served immediately after. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her co-workers at WF Taylor, those that cared for her at Colonial Hills Nursing Home, the special girls that assisted in finishing her beloved scrapbook pages and all those that gave their support and love to her. In lieu of flowers, family is asking that donations be made to The American Cancer Society or The Humane Society of TN.
