Pharris, James David age 38 of Ft. Lauderdale, originally from Morristown, TN passed away Saturday, October 21, 2006, at home in his sleep. He graduated from Morristown West High School in 1985. He was a graduate from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with his Bachelor's Degree then pursued his graduate degree at the University of Tennessee. He graduated Cum Laude with his Masters in Library and Information Science. He owned and operated Adrian's Caf� in Knoxville. He was currently working for the Broward County Library System and involved in many endeavors. He was highly regarded by his supervisors and co-workers. David was involved in many charities, especially AIDS, to whom he had lost a good friend. He had a life long love of learning and reading. He was a brilliant, creative chef, accomplished writer, and a great speaker. He was teaching small business classes in Broward County and planned to get his doctorate and teach at a university. His unique sense of humor drew people to him. Preceded in death by: Grandmother, Adele Holland Hawkins; Beloved Dog, Chapman. Survivors include: Partner in life, Roderick Clarke Hinkle, II of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Mother, Dowelene Pulley Pharris of Morristown; Father and Step Mother, Marvin & Jessica Pharris of Maryville; Brother and Sister-in-law, Troy & Kathy Pharris of Maryville; Brother, Shayne Pharris of Morristown; Nieces and Nephews, Sean, Karli, and Kaleb Pharris; Step Brothers, Josh Coker and Jake Coker; Grandmother, Virgie Pharris of Lebanon; Grandfather, Alton Pharris & wife Edna of Lebanon; Favorite Aunt, Debbie Bowman Phann; Parents-in-love, Rod & Linda Hinkle of GA; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Celebration of Life service will be at 8:00 PM, Friday, October 27, 2006 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Grandview Cemetery.
