James Grant Parks from Knoxville Tennessee died peacefully Monday evening August 15th, 2022. James, known by Jim, graduated from Alcoa high School and the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in teaching, minors also in sociology and history. Jim was owner/operator of Allied Court Reporting Service in Knoxville for many years. He was a jovial person who always had a big smile on his face! Family, friends and playing sports were what he loved! Jim loved life and brought joy to many! Jim is preceded in death by his Father, Earnest Grant Parks (Joyce); Mother, Mary Jane Camp Harris; Wife, Willie Keene Parks; Survived by children, Ashley Parks Calahan and Alexander Parks; Brothers, Ron Parks (Laura); Wayne Parks (Toni); Steve Parks (Kathy); Sister, Ann Hill (John); Granddaughter Brylee Calahan. Special thanks to Lisa Cooley who diligently and lovingly cared for Jim and his wife, Willie in their greatest time of need. Visitation and celebration of life ceremony will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 1:00-4:00pm at Smith's funeral home in Maryville Tennessee, services to begin at 3:00pm.
